Dear Reconciler Family,

photo (63)-McKinneys & Mays_WebJannice and I were invited to join the Nassau, Bahamas Congregation and members from surrounding islands for their 40th anniversary! It was a wonderful, spirit-filled and memorable occasion! They are some of the warmest brethren we’ve ever met. And their pastor and wife, Robert and Tanya McKinney led the way.

photo (3)-Praise Singers-Dancers_WebThe celebration began on Friday evening with Congregational Updates and Vision Casting. The theme was “Be Strong and Courageous: You have work to do!” Taken from Joshua 1:6-9. And I gave a sermon on Friday Evening titled “Celebration, Freedom and Thankfulness.”

A worship service on Saturday was followed by a Royal Dinner-Dance that evening. It was highlighted by an all youth female praise team in beautiful attire! The teens of the church were honored by a dinner dance where they were encouraged to “stay the course with Jesus.” Their church’s regular praise band includes teens and a pre-teen. They love to worship the Lord!

My final 2 sermons were: “What is Jesus’ Dream?” and “The Samaritan Woman”, a message on Reconciliation. Their worship services are lively, participative and uplifting! And during the offering one of the leaders goes up front and holds the offering basket and dances joyfully as the members one-by-one dance up to him, cheerfully deposit their offering in the basket and strut back to their seats. They are joyful givers!

photo (72)-Mr. May & Sen. Alex Storr_WebA special guest Senator, Honorable H. Alex Storr and his wife Nadia joined us for the dinner dance. He answers directly to Bahamas’ Prime Minister Perry Christie. We had some fascinating discussion about the Islands, history and politics. Another highlight during the evening was honoring a youth, Aaliyah Moss, for being chosen “student of the year” at Columbus Primary School!

We returned home full of joy and great memories! May God continue to bless and keep them and their fine examples. And may God continue to bless you for your prayers and loyal financial support. Our service to him will never be forgotten! For he is a God who remembers and rewards our good deeds.

Love and Peace,
