January 2014 Subscriber Letter

Dear Reconciler Family,

Wow! Its 2014 already! As they say, time flies when you’re having fun! Yes serving our Living Lord Jesus Christ in any capacity is fun.

photo (58)_WebDecember was a busy month including a Reconciliation Seminar in Hammond, Louisiana. District Pastoral Team Leader Mike Horchak hosted the seminar, which included leaders and laymen from several states. This 2-day event was well received and included lively participation. Below is some feedback from our participants when asked what they liked most about the seminar:

“I thought the entire presentation was very informative and well organized. I thought you allowed good group interaction and participation.”

“The feeling of unity and camaraderie that was shared. The opportunity to hear different opinions concerning matters of importance to us as individuals and to the corporate church.”

Then I asked for suggestions on improving the seminar:

“None just continue doing what you’re doing.”

“Small group discussions. These small groups are oftentimes easier to get more people talking.”

Finally I asked for other comments:

“It was a conference well worth the expense and effort put into it. Thanks to all of those who gave their time and treasure to make it possible.”

“Enjoyed the conference tremendously. It was a great blessing.”

We paid tribute to the late Nelson Mandela by pausing for a moment of silence and then I lead a prayer for his family and loved ones.

photo (63)_WebThe seminar was topped off with some great humor by Comedian/Impersonator Sam Joubert. He entertained us to the point that we could hardly contain ourselves. His Ministry is called Voices by Sam—Vocal Impressionist. He said he is available if any group would like some good clean humor at a future event. You may e-mail him at: sjoubert@yahoo.com.

photo (61)_WebMike and Pam Horchak took Jannice and me on a grand tour of New Orleans where we had fun, food and fellowship! They also chauffeured us around in Hammond, Louisiana for the weekend event. They are doing a wonderful job in serving the brethren; who obviously love them, and vise-versa.

We are finishing off the year with great anticipation of what Jesus is going to do in our lives in 2014! I have great hope. There’s much to be done in our divided world. We at ORM hope you enjoy the latest issue of RECONCILE NEWSLETTER! May God bless all of you in this new year and take you to new heights in Jesus! Thank you for your kind support to in helping make this Ministry possible.

Love and Peace,
