April 2016 Monthly Letter

Dear Reconciler Family,

As we move into the month of April 2016, having commemorated the Lord’s Supper, we are overwhelmed by the most powerful and momentous events that mankind has ever known: the Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!

We read about his walk among mankind as a stranger to most because to them he was “just another human being.” Not realizing that he was the God Man. Eventually he had siblings with whom he no doubt played and worked with as he was growing up. He later began his ministry, which was to raise up disciples and teach them about the Father and about who he was. Of course that was not an easy task.

communion5Let’s fast forward to the reason Jesus came to this earth. In Matthew 26:17-19 we read about the Lord’s Supper: “On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and asked, where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” He told them to “go to the city to a certain man and tell him, The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I’m going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.” So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

Jesus had his life and death all planned out. He had you and me in mind as he was eating the bread at the Lord’s Supper, and drinking the wine, symbolizing his broken body and his shed blood for all of mankind, though all may not accept it.

Notice how meticulously Jesus followed the plan to suffer and be crucified in obedience to the Father, knowing the upcoming agony that he would suffer. And he did it not for himself, but for you and me. WHAT AN AWESOME LORD AND SAVIOR WE HAVE. AND WHAT A LOVING FATHER WHO WAS WILLING TO SACRIFICE HIS SON FOR YOU AND ME.

The wonderful news following His death and burial was HE ROSE FROM THE DEAD SECURING OUR SALVATION AND LIFE WITH HIM AND THE FATHER AND HOLY SPIRIT FOREVER!!! Could anyone ask for more? “God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that who so ever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

2 Corinthians 5:18 tells us “all this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.”

May we continue to spread this wonderful news as far and wide as we can. For it is the best news that anyone can ever have or ask for. Glory to God in the highest!

Blessings to you all for a meaningful Lord’s Supper and Easter Season.

Thank you for your loyalty to His Ministry of Reconciliation. Your support is highly treasured.
