January 2015 Monthly Letter

Dear Reconcilers in Christ,

Thank you for your kind support and prayers throughout this past year! Jesus has lead us in this Ministry and taken us many places with His message of Reconciliation! Through His help, we have ministered to people throughout the United States, Canada, England, Northern and Southern Ireland, Scotland, Africa and beyond. Thank you for your prayers and kind support.

Praise Dancers at the 40th Anniversary Celebration in the Bahamas.

One such place was a trip to the Bahamas last January for their 40th Anniversary! They have a number of churches there and surrounding islands. We celebrated from Friday night through Sunday singing, dancing and praising God for His goodness. Below is a summary of comments I wrote on the event.

“A special guest Senator, the Honorable H. Alex Storr and his wife, Nadia joined us for the dinner dance and sat at my table. He answers directly to Prime Minister Perry Christie. We had some fascinating discussion about the islands, history and politics. Another highlight during the evening was honoring a teen, Aliyah Moss for being chosen ‘student of the year’ at Columbus Primary School. We went on to discuss the importance of being reconciled to God and each other with the Senator.”

Another highlight was a reconciliation event held in Cincinnati, Ohio, hosted by ORM Chapter Leader Pastor George Hart. It was held for the Milford School District. The public was invited. Note summary comments below on this outreach effort:

“Our local church building was a perfect setting for the Milford School District event, which was well received with excellent participation. Included in the audience were School Superintendent Dr. Robert Farrell; Principal Mark Lutz; Assistant Principal Tom Wilson; Principal Kelli Ellison; and a number of other school leaders, along with curriculum directors, Dr. Jill Chin and Nancy House. The atmosphere was reconciliatory, transformative and spirit-led.

Thank_You_For_Your_Service_WebFor the Fourth of July we thanked our veterans for their many sacrifices in the different wars they fought, from 1776 when the United States gained independence from the British Throne, to the present wars being waged. Here’s an excerpt from a prayer by Former President Franklin D. Roosevelt as the D-Day mission was being planned:

“For these men are lately drawn from the ways of peace. They fight not for the lust of conquest. They fight to liberate. They fight to let justice rise, and tolerance and good will among all the people. They yearn but to end the battle, for to return to the haven home. Some may never return; embrace these Father and receive them, thy hero servants, into Thy Kingdom.”

The bottom line in all these examples is the great need for Reconciliation! The more reconciled we are to God and each other the more peace, love and understanding we will experience. This is the goal that Jesus set for us on the night before
His crucifixion.

He prayed to the Father, “My prayer is not for them alone (the disciples). I pray for those who will believe in me through their message. That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you sent me” John 17:20-21.

Reconciliation of mankind to God and each other was what was on Jesus’ mind as He was about to be crucified for us all. May we continue fulfill His great longing for reconciliation!!!

We’re praying that God will continue to use this Ministry in the coming year to even exceed what was done in 2014. Jannice and I wish you and your family blessings in the coming year.
