July 2007 Subscriber Letter

July 2007Dear Reconciler Family,In this transitional year in the Office of Reconciliation Ministries (ORM), I have been seeking God’s guidance in more specific ways than I’ve had the time or focus for since its inception. As you know, my job shifted from being District Superintendent to National Ministry Development Trainer while continuing as ORM Director. As MDT, I also focus on conflict resolution.God is building the ministry and opening opportunities in a dramatic way. So far this year He has blessed us with:

  • A radio interview on a Cleveland station.
  • Civil Rights icon Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth speaking at Christ Community Church in Cincinnati.
  • An interview with Rev. Shuttlesworth which we hope to publish soon.
  • Participation in the celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the Abolition of the British Slave Trade.
  • Our ORM promotional DVD getting its finishing touches. It’s looking great!
  • Our summer issue of Reconcile nearing completion.
  • A number of speaking opportunities discussing what God is doing among us
  • A trip to South Africa. As a member of the African Enterprise Board of Directors (U.S.), I will be representing the U.S. board at the International Partnership Board Meetings in Pietermaritzberg next month. I’m grateful for their generosity and trust.
  • ORM Chapter Leaders and representatives Paul and Leigh Sniffen and Raul Ramos participated in City Dialogue Sessions in Pasadena, California.

Well, there is a lot going on. Read the upcoming issue of Reconcile and check out our updated website, ATimeToReconcile.org. We will keep you posted on the completion and availability of the DVD. We plan to send it out to organizations that we feel can benefit from our work. It’s another way we hope to be able to advance the gospel and ministry of reconciliation, love and peace (II Corinthians 5:16-21).Thank you for helping make it all possible. Your prayers and financial support are vital to this ministry. Blessings to you all, Curtis May
