March 2011
Dear Reconciler Family,
As we move into the third month of 2011 it’s exciting to see the “move of God” in His ministry of reconciliation.
In Texas, ORM Chapter Leader Tom Pickett had our first broadcast on Big Country KCLE 1460 AM radio in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. He spoke about forgiveness and reconciliation. The name of the program is A Time to Reconcile. We have a six-month contract for this weekly broadcast. We would appreciate your prayers that God would move powerfully and change lives through the broadcasts. Several of us will be recording messages for the broadcast. Will keep you posted.
Also I am pleased to inform you that I have transitioned into the ministry of reconciliation full-time. This was a mutual decision made between Grace Communion International and myself. We mutually feel that it will give the ministry advancement opportunities.
With input from the ORM chapter leaders, staff members and business leaders we decided on a new name for the ministry. The new name will be the Office of Reconciliation and Mediation (ORM). We will keep our logo and brand. We feel it’s fiting since Jesus is our Reconciler and our Mediator.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19 “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.”
Hebrews 9:15 “For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance–now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.”
I will continue my duties as an elder in the church, a board member for the church and a member of the church’s Pension Plan Committee.
Thank you for your prayers and financial support. By the way, I would like your prayers about some speaking opportunities in Kentucky during the second week of March. I will be speaking at a Ministers’ Wives Conference (Connecting and Bonding) and Queen Street Christian Fellowship in Mount Sterling. We will also be planning for a community outreach event for later this year.
God bless you all. Love,
Curtis May
